Yoga, it does a body good
It's been a few years since I practiced yoga. There was a woman in my neighborhood who would conduct classes at our community center. It was nice, I could walk over and walk home from guided instruction. For a variety of reasons, I fell out of practice and it's been on my list of things I need to do to reconnect with myself.
The same woman who I used to get instruction from has two studios in pgh now and I've decided to start dropping in on a few sessions.
Why did I ever stop? Yoga makes my body feel strong and my mind focused. I am energized and centered. This was so good for me.
The temperature in her studio is kept warm. Even relatively easy postures become challenging quickly when your body and breath are already so heated. I must remember to bring more water tomorrow, I probably sweat out twice as much water as I had consumed. I must remember Child's pose is my friend and only to push myself as far as I see fit. It is not a competition and the instructor concentrates on making sure each idividual knows to make the practice their own.
I must also remember to bring cash as they don't accept credit :)
