Laid to Rest
I'm not one to obsess over a television program, but I will say that HBO's Six Feet Under was one exceptionally produced, written and filmed show with a spectacular cast that I will miss tuning into. Here was a show that was out to do something different, amidst the drama of the central characters, it was to be about life in the presence of death, to look at death differently, to look at how survivors deal with grief.
There are shows that end and leave people wanting more, that leave loose threads and cliff hanger endings, that make you puzzle over the possibilities left for the characters. This was a show like none other, and for once, this was a series finale that wrapped up the lives every single main character, the writers provided a satisfying and unique glimpse at what their futures held and into their last moments before death as so many had passed in the opening minutes of every single show.
It is so like the Fischer's to have their affairs in order before being laid to rest.
