The first day lily bloomed today, it's a few weeks early. I don't blame them, it's been like a greenhouse lately, the garden is loving it. There was an interesting statistic on the local weather the other day. Even with as warm and humid as it has been in recent days and the common perception and misconception of Pittsburgh summer temperatures; we actually have not had a day go over 90 degrees since the summer of 2003. So yes, it's hot and sticky, but it could be worse and it hasn't been that bad in years.
