Proof again, that I have the absolute best husband! Friday, during work, I received a cryptic email message from Mark, "Prepare for adventure. Try to get home early so you can pack for the weekend," he added, "p.s. this doesn't involve buying an Alfa," which was the result of a similar such plot :) He rented a cabin in Raccoon Creek State Park for the weekend for us. *swoon* He sure knows how to cheer me up and surprise me! So I left work early, packed up the rest of our supplies and we were off for a mini get-away! Once there in the evening we gathered up firewood and had a fire outside since the only thing the cabin was missing was a fireplace. We stayed up late huddled around the fire with our steaming mugs of hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows. I warmed my feet placing them near the fire which kept them warm for some time, after standing in one place the heat of my feet created a little ice patch. We stayed out there pretty late enjoying the fire.
