Full day
Today had its excitement, full of friends and food, its ups and its down.
The baby shower that was scheduled for yesterday, but postponed to today due to the snow, went well even though a number of people couldn't make it for scheduling conflicts. It figures, the one day that an event is planned for happens to be the first major snow fall of the year. The day delay turned out to be beneficial and appreciated for a number of reasons. Mom will now have a trickle of presents as remaining folks pay a visit.
Mark and I had our semi-traditional AFC-NFC all day playoff party going on today as well (rather than having a super bowl party). As I spent the late morning and early afternoon preparing for the shower, Mark mentioned that being the host is difficult when I'm not around. He noticed that things that generally seem to 'just happen,' just weren't. I feel appreciated, my absence and contributions have been recognized. :)
The down, of course, was the Steeler's loss. I remained optimistic going into the game, but they were cremated. Ah well. We'll see what next season will bring, if my interest in the game will be held nearly as much.
