This weekend felt like a vacation
Everything I did had the pace and a level of lazy relaxation as if I were out of town. I did not need to clean or do laundry, nothing pressing needed to be done, so I did nothing, no responsibilities, no worries.
I spent most of my time outside enjoying the gorgeous weather, all the windows were open filling our home with wonderful aromas, I read most of a book, drank a gallon of fresh brewed iced tea sweetened with wild flower honey, took leisurely strolls through the neighborhood and to the park with Mark, had several meals cooked and eaten out on the patio, enjoyed simple vanilla sundaes with chocolate sauce and pecans, listened to the birds (my cd of Eastern bird calls is in the mail, I can't wait!), watched a rabbit nibble on the clover in the back yard, watched a movie and very little tv. I even caught a bark beetle on my red tank top which I had to take in to show Mark so he could see what sort of insects were occupying my time one day a week.
So lazy, so delightfully lazy. I need one more afternoon of reclining in a chair on the patio to finish my book.
