Red currants
Just a miscellaneous note. The red currant bush that was transplanted from Sue's yard to beside our house survived the winter as well. I was genuinely worried about its survival, it did not look too well through the fall last year. I was not sure it had successfully rooted. But I noticed yesterday all of the leaf buds are preparing to unfurl.
This year we will now have a handful of fresh currants to go with our handful of fresh raspberries from the singular bush I keep on our patio. I love having fresh tart berries on vanilla ice cream. I particularly love being able to just walk outside to gather said berries.
Hooray for the currants!
