So, Mark and I purchased a new fridge last week (a nice 25.5 cubic foot side by side with filtered water/ice through the door), in order to have it fit we had to take out some cabinets. After a trip to various places we decided on a few pieces of stand alone kitchen cabinets, work station and wall cabinets from IKEA. (Varde kitchen pieces if you look in the catalog). But now I have to wait a week for some of the bits that had to be ordered. We will have 40" more counter top space in between the fridge and stove. We will have a 3'x8' cabinet/hutch in our breakfast nook area. Add to this a 47" wide wall mounted cupboard with glass doors (that open upwards) with two shelves above said new counter top space, plus wall mounted utensil bar and spice rack... We are talking acres of more storage and work space in our relatively small galley style kitchen. For now, I have to live with my pantry belongings in boxes in the dining room. I can't wait to organize my kitchen into all these goodies!!! Yeah for neurotic organization goodness!!!
