Scenic Ligonier
Paid a visit to scenic Ligonier as a mid-point meeting place for a few friends visiting near by for the holidays. Casa Chapala was the find of the day for lunch. Grilled cactus enchilladas... mmm... tasty.
Despite Mark's opinion that Ligonier is somehow sinister, I think it is really an interesting and cute area with it's town square and surrounding wooded hilly community. Close enough to civilization yet, seemingly easy enough to quickly escape into solitude.
Anyway, lunch was tasty, the friends were good company, they are folks we rarely get to see. Perhaps a trip this year to Boston will remedy that. Again, why do we see certain people so little, we need to make a few smaller vacation trips to near-ish cities to get to see the friends we care about more often.
