I'm home today, putting the finishing touches around the house getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Mostly cleaning, making sure there will be enough room in the refridgerator for leftovers, mopping floors, dusting, getting all the new dishes clean. Speaking of the new dinnerware, the shop we purchased the majority of the sets from demostrated even more amazing powers of super coolness. We stopped by to pick up the sets this morning, he had them all packed up into two boxes and helped us load them into the car. After I was home and Mark had already left for work, I started unpacking the dishes, each carefully wrapped in tissue or bubble wrap. As I was worked my way through the boxes pealing off those annoying stickers and loading up the dishwasher, I noticed that both of the green place settings were missing! I called the place, they were expecting me to call because my place setting were sitting right there on their counter. They expressed their apologies, they felt just awful about forgetting to give them to us that they offered to drop them off at our home after they closed the store that evening. How cool is that! Well, as five came and went I thought I would be seeing them soon at our doorstop as the shop is only a mile or so away, not a long trip. 5:30 came and went. 6:00. 6:30. I was starting to worry. A somewhat angry sounding voice message was left on their machine and seconds after that the door bell rang. They had left a message simulaneously on my phone as we were trying to reach them, to tell us they were on their way. The dishes are safe and sound and look amazing, I'm really happy with our choice. I've been adding the completer pieces to my wish list, so if you are looking to get me/us something for x-mas, there are plenty of items to choose from now ;) Okay, still more work to do, off I go.
