Preparation Day
Robyns baby shower is next Saturday and today was a preparation day. Robyn, Andrea, Becky and I got together with my SILs sister Mimi to make candles for both the shower and the Blessingway. This was my second exposure to the candle making lecture, she has quite the set up in her garage for this hobby. Robyn chose the scents and colors to use. We made 40 votives, 8 large pillars and other shapes for give away prizes, 8 medium candles for center pieces and one large special pillar for Robyn at the Blessingway. There is no way we would have been able to purchase as nice candles and as many or as large for what we paid. I love candles; that would be a hobby I could get into, I would need to take over a corner of the basement which is currently over run with car tools and gadgetry.
We took care of getting game prizes together, Becky and all her crafty-goodness made them look incredibly lovely. We taste tested various baby foods for a baby food guessing game (settled on green beans, prunes, pears with pineapple and banana flavors for the game :) Ironed out the last details of the day over breakfast, everything has come together so nicely.
Robyn will be having an excellent shower and all of us have been having fun putting it together!
