For reasons that I won�t go into, the close family members who were going to throw Robyn a baby shower just flat out said they couldn�t, wouldn�t do it for her. The surrogate family that are her friends are stepping in to make sure she gets to have a lovely happy day, complete with silly games and heaps of presents and cheer. We will also have to do our best to shield the mamma-to-be from any potential family conflicts that may arise, even if it means becoming a human shield :) There was a meeting of the minds, over dinner and coffee, I got to meet the fabulous Becky and see Andrea again in what has been entirely too long. With a little over a month to plan and organize and craft and bake, we were able to strategize and completely decide who was doing what, bringing this or that and planning the activities for the day. Robyn has nothing to worry about; she�s in very capable loving hands now. We want to do this for her, what a better expression of how much we care for her and want to share in her experience. So we will celebrate the baby by throwing the baby shower and we will celebrate the mamma by holding the Blessingway in November�more planning to come for this event.
