Adventures in waxing
If you're curious, it's extremely easy to make your own home made leg wax: sugar wax.
Take 1 cup of sugar, 2 Tbs. lemon juice and 2 Tbs. water and boil until it reaches 250 F, the soft ball stage where when dropped into water forms a malleable ball.
Cool. Spread it on. Bits of cloth rubbed on. Pull in quick opposing motion. An hour or so later with Mark spreading and pulling and me cutting cloth strips to occupy my mind and voila! I've declared war on the number of hair follicles on my legs!
Not that it's really a problem, most of my leg hair is still pale blonde and fine textured. It was an experiment and I'm quite pleased with the results. Next time I will probably double the batch, to make sure there is plenty to go around. I will give the finest hairs another week of growth before making another pass; they just didn't have enough body to be removed this time.
I also had my fun by waxing Mark's chest. Not that he has many chest hairs, they can literally be counted there are so few, he is not at all hairy, but he wanted to see what it was like.
So we've enjoyed our little adventure into waxing and it is something I plan on continuing. Perhaps I should include this entry under my 'recipes' category too :)
