Only one of my favorite artists

ARG! Wouldn’t you know it, Look at that! Loreena McKennitt, who hasn’t toured in ten years, is touring the US this fall, and in October, specifically October 25th (my birthday), she is playing in Pittsburgh. Someone, please go and enjoy what is sure to be an amazing evening of music for me. I’m listening to “Caravanserai” right now… thinking of my own visit to a caravanserai in Turkey… her music is self described as “musical travel writing”

What is this life that pulls me far away
What is that home where we cannot reside
What is that quest that pulls me onward
My heart is full when you are by my side

    I bought a double CD set when I was in Massachusetts recently, and wouldn’t you know it, she was performing on Sunday, the day I left.
