We consume

We are such good little consumers. We bought a new sectional sofa and recliner for our living room, although they won’t get delivered until next week.

Initially we were out shopping for bedroom furniture. We seriously need better storage solutions in our bedroom and we had seen a really nice sleigh bed frame for sale. We have a pretty good idea of what is going to be purchased for the bedroom. But in the process of looking at beds and wardrobes, we ended up looking at living room furniture and decided that with the holidays approaching it would be nice to have better, more intimate, more comfortable seating.

Plus it fulfills my neurotic wishes of having matching furniture. I’m not much of a shopper, but I have always wanted to move away from that ‘poor college student’ look of mismatched or hand me down furniture. We’re adults and can easily afford nice things, so as a part of that consumer extravaganza that is my 30th birthday, I am getting my neurotic wishes granted.

I’ll have a matching living room, a renovated kitchen and an organized matching bedroom once all is said and done. Everything a neurotic girl could ask for!
