Searching for appropriate entry titles
Posted by deb on July 9th, 2004 filed in Musings & adventuresEither it just appears as if I’m not reading all that much or my grand plan to review, even cursory, all the books I read and put the entries under the ‘recommended reads’ category has failed or I just never got around to reviewing the current read. Most likely the latter explains omissions in my list of reviews. But I have not been consistent with my practices.
I have noticed too, when I’ve gone to search for a particular entry, that I generally do a poor job of including an appropriately descriptive entry title. For instance, when looking for the lemon bars I made for this past New Year’s eve dinner, although it is found in an entry under the ‘recipes and menus’ category, an innocent bystander would not easily locate that recipe when I just blindly point them to my blog for finding my favorite recipes.
I need to edit and make my recipes easier to search for and find. You see, I try to place some marginal utility into my blog. It is my cooking and baking resource center. Generally the recipes that end up recorded here are well worth using and I frequently refer back to my blog as a trusty standard for baking recipes. I used to keep a meticulously outlined notebook of recipes but this is a much more user friendly searchable and sharable venue. I just need to give each recipe its own entry and simply name the entry by dish!
